The protected area of Minalungao National Park is located in the municipality of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija in the Philippines. It is one of the few remaining natural environments in Central Luzon, a region north of Manila.
Established in 1967 by virtue of Republic Act No. 5100 by the governing body of Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the 2,013 hectares park is centered along the Peñaranda River bordered on both sides by up to 16-meter high limestone walls. It is being promoted as an eco-tourism destination which offers stunning scenery of green pristine river, unique rock formations and breath-taking view of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range. At present, amenities for picnics, swimming, fishing, raft riding, cliff diving and zip line adventure have been put up to attract more visitors.

How to get to Minalungao National Park?
Via Public Transport: From Manila, ride a bus bound to Gapan/Cabanatuan. Estimated travel time to Gapain in Nueva Ecija is 2-3 hours. From Gapan, you can rent a tricycle to Minalungao Park and travel another 1.5 hour.
Via Private Vehicle: From Manila, take the North Luzon Expressway and get to Sta. Rita Exit. Proceed right and go along the Candaba – San Miguel Road. Continue driving until you reach Bucana, Gapan. Upon reaching Gapan, ask the locals the best route to Minalungao National Park since there are several roads heading to the park. Estimated travel time is 4-5 hours.
*Travel Tip: Best time to go to Minalungao National Park is during summer season where the river is pristine green and suitable for swimming activity.
